However, you may have friends or family who cannot share in the delights of doughy goodness produced by it. Especially at dinner parties. It is kind to accommodate to everyone and consider those with special dietary requirements. They should still get to experience the unique flavour that your woodfired oven can produce.

Bear in mind that most people who cannot eat gluten are “gluten-intolerant” meaning that they cannot digest the substance, but they will not have an allergic reaction if they eat foods which have touched the same surface as your pizza. This post will explore some delicious gluten-free options.

 

1: Roasted Veggies

You can use your favourite soup recipe, which will surely involve beef stock, caramelized onions and probably some red wine. Refrain from using flour in the soup, or purchasing ingredients with wheat in them. For the crouton, you can use a loaf of gluten-free bread, or gluten-free crackers. Then, of course, top it off with lashings of cheese; all kinds of cheese: gruyere, mozzarella, gouda and more.

Salmon is a tasty popular fish which is rich with beautiful omega-3 fats. When cooked on a plank of cedar it absorbs a certain smoky flavour and maintains a great deal of moisture. You can buy the cedar at most homeware stores or a lumberyard. Make sure to soak it in water for 20 minutes before using it for cooking with. Use a favourite oil of your choice on the salmon, along with some pepper and thyme for flavour, but you won’t need much else as this cooking technique will enhance the natural flavour of the salmon.

 

4: Baby-Back Ribs

After a night of utilizing the woodfired oven for pizzas and other goodies, it is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the left-over heat for some slow-cooked ribs. Barbequing ribs take a lot of heat and a lot of time, both of which are supplied by the woodfired oven. Unlike a BBQ grill, there is no direct contact between the fire and the food, and you don’t have to clean it afterwards. Even though you can place the meat straight onto the oven, excess fat is burned off the next time the oven is utilized and thereby cleaned naturally. Put your favourite rub on the meat, fire them up, and get ready for some mouth-watering goodness.
